So, I competed with Rooney again, on the 7th of July at the Kraft cup and on the 14th of July on the TordasZoo cup. It was really great to be back to competitions with him!
On Kraft cup we had 2 agility runs - both dis., the first run was quiet awful with Rooney running around like crazy, the second one was much better, it had quite a few nice moments (for example a very-very nice turn) in it.
At the TordasZoo cup we had three runs - A1 agility, J1 jumping and an open jumping run. And we ran our first not dis. agility run with Rooney, and I'm very happy about it! He missed the slalom entry because of having too much speed and he jumped from the DW contact, but it was a nice concentrated run (and hopefully I will get the video about it:)). The jumping runs are both dis., but again we had some nice moments - we still have to work on slalom and on my handling, but I'm really happy with our improvement so far! :) I love running with Rooney so much, his drive, his speed, his craziness! :D <3
On the TordasZoo cup I also had the chance to see Ripper's litter-brothers: Ris and Runo. They are both great, Ris competing in A2 already, Runo in A1 and both of them are going to EO next week, so fingers crossed for them and for mummy Kisha too! Ripper was also with me at the TordasZoo cup, he met his bros and played with me, practicing also on the warm up jump a bit, he is developing very well, hopefully next time we meet with his brothers he will be competing too!
(Rooney's site is updated with pictures from the recent competitions)
Well, we are training and improving normally, and I had my final exams successfully. Ripper is jumping 50 cm now, he can do a 4 pole slalom, his see-saw is also almost ready, now we have to work on his running contacts ;-) I still love to train with him, and it is very obvious that he had a better foundation training than Rooney had back than, everything he has been taught so far he preforms those things so self-confidently and reliably no matter what. Rooney also improves nicely, he is actually more and more reliable: has great slalom, great contacts and lately he does not ran under the bars. We are starting to get better also with the difficult handling stuff (for example double blind cross), if I am fast and concentrated enough he does it, with a great style. I'm just falling in love with him more and more every day. :) I trained with Ripper on 30th of June and I asked someone to make videos about it. So when I get those videos, there will be a new training video about the black monster. And I had a border collie for 4 days, because Jam (Trust your heart Dust till dawn) stayed at our place while his owner went on holiday. He is really amazing, I'm completely in love with is incredibly lovely character. He had many-many big runs with my boys, he loved to herd Ripper. :) The three male dogs were great together with absolutely no problems, there wasn't even one growl. And tomorrow we are competing again with Rooney at the Kraft cup, at Tárnok. I'm really looking forward to it!
